Serving food for the greater good!
We use collaborating church kitchens to prepare and distribute family sized entrees and soups to ease the food burden many households face. Our products are offered frozen at our churches, served hot or frozen at our eatery in White Cloud during pop-up hours. You can order our ready to heat frozen options by clicking the button below. Follow our Facebook page for updates!
At The Cookery, we embrace a pay what you are able concept by providing a few payment options:
1. Pay what you can afford to pay.
2. Pay the full amount of the suggested donation retail equivalent.
3. Pay the full amount of the suggested donation price, plus a little extra to help offset the cost of the meals we give away for free.
4. Purchase tokens. Our Pay It Forward Token is more than just a token – it’s a commitment to feeding members of our community with dignity and grace.

A Christian Culinary Collaboration
For I was hungry, and you gave me food – Matthew 25:35-40
More than a food establishment, we are a grab & go social enterprise. Help us reinvent how we feed the community.
Our Christian Culinary collaboration is designed to come together to simply create good food for the greater good. It is the newest Hope 101 Ministry Program. We offer family sized entrees and soups for distribution to both those in need as well as to all members of our community as a “pay as you can” suggested donation model.
How does it work?
1. Church Collaboration and Support
Our team prepares and freezes family sized entrees and soups in licensed church kitchens. These churches, and others, have the option of stocking some of our frozen entrees and soups within their freezers to hand out when someone from their community asks for help.
The Cookery will also schedule Pop-Up soup events at collaborating churches to provide an opportunity for community members from all walks of life to sit together, socialize and eat in a safe and nurturing environment.
2. The Cookery “Pay as You Can” Eatery
We will be opening a physical eatery in White Cloud at 1137 E Wilcox where we’ll be serving hot soups and entrees. Customers can pay a suggested donation for their meals, pay more to help us fund our operational costs, or volunteer their time to earn meal tokens. Patrons can also purchase tokens to gift those in need with a frozen entree or soup.

Tokens
What is a token?
A token is a physical plastic coin with our logo on it. Tokens can be exchanged for meals and soups at our participating churches or used as currency at our eatery location at 1137 E Wilcox, White Cloud, MI. We have two colors of tokens that each have very distinct purposes.

Green Tokens
Green Tokens have a $10 face value and can be purchased by anyone in the community and redeemed for monetary face value towards either their suggested retail donation or Pay as You Can donation. They make great gifts for holidays, birthdays or even employee appreciation – a gift that truly serves a social purpose. Green tokens can be purchased and gifted back to The Cookery as a pay it forward blessing for us to use to provide food for someone who walks through our door and is in need.
White Tokens
People in need of food that cannot pay can qualify for tokens based on an intake that we or our collaborating partners perform. We would distribute the appropriate numbers of tokens based on our policy and their level of need. White tokens can be redeemed for one family sized meal or two 32oz containers of soup.
