The primary goal of Hope 101 Ministry is to assist those in our community who are experiencing homelessness or food insecurity to move from poverty to prosperity through a structured program of goal setting and working toward self-sufficiency. To achieve that outcome, we have two housing programs that are used to provide both physical homes and case management to our housing participants. Our programs are fully inclusive, and we follow all Fair Housing Laws. We also offer other programs designed to serve the needs of our Newaygo County community members, whether or not they are enrolled in one of our housing programs.
Our programs include:
- Transitional Housing Program – as housing becomes available, members of the Newaygo County community who are experiencing a crisis may apply. Rooms of Refuge, agency, congregation and community referrals are encouraged. This program is program fee based.
- Stable Housing Program– as housing becomes available, members of the Newaygo County community who are experiencing housing insecurity may apply. This is open to ALICE households and Housing Choice Voucher households. Rooms of Refuge, agency and community referrals are also accepted. This program is lease based.
- Financial & Impact Skill Literacy Program– We offer financial literacy program using the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau material at no cost to members of our Newaygo County community.
- The Cookery – Launching in March of 2024, we offer freshly baked bread and center of the plate meals to members of our community.
- Celebration Hope – Launching in June of 2024, The Cookery will be providing celebration cakes at no charge to children in Newaygo County who are within households experiencing food insecurity.
