Anchor Home
Family of God Community Church
Hope 101 Ministry was started out of a Woman’s Bible study at Family of God Community Church. This three-unit was purchased by the church as part of this new ministry. The Pastor, congregation, neighbors and community worked together to remodel the property to enable them to carry out its mission to provide safe and affordable housing. The ministry has grown and become an independent charity working to reduce homelessness and food insecurity in Newaygo County.
Mercer Home
The Jeff Mercer Family and the Family of God Community Church
Mercer Home is a 3–4-bedroom home located in the City of Newaygo. It was donated by the Mercer Family to provide affordable transitional housing. The property was distressed, but the Family of God Community Church rallied their congregants and the community to revitalize the home. This home was deeded to Hope 101 in 2017.
Adama Community Center of Hope
Adama Family Gift Fund
In December o 2024, we received a legacy gift From the Adama Family Gift Fund. This donation materially funded the purchase of a White Cloud property that will provide two transitional housing units, a case management office and a “Pay as You Can” eatery that will be run by The Cookery.
Close to the county services, this center will also offer free wi-fi, computer and printer use and serve as a respite from the weather to those who need it. To commemorate the generosity and impact the Adama family has on our community, this center will be named in their honor.
The Draft House
Fremont Area Community Foundation
This is a new housing united created through grant funding from the Fremont Area Community Foundation. This efficiency apartment is located withing our White Cloud community center property and will become a part of our Transitional Housing program in the summer of 2025.
The Community Services Expansion
Roger and Marcia Draft and Others
We have been blessed with reoccurring RMD donations from Roger and Marcia Draft that were granted to us specifically for capital improvement needs. As a housing provider, these gifts are critical. Their gifts are getting us started on building and equipping a commercial kitchen, a case management office and computers and printers to benefit our patrons. The Draft’s legacy donation also assisted us with the purchase of the property and our new efficiency unit will be named in recognition of their generosity.
